Back in the late 1990s and the early 2000s, Homo sapiens used a crude form of the computer known as the Desktop PC, in which the monitor and computer were separated into discrete components. The computer, housed in what would come to be known as a "mini-tower," contained the guts, such as the processor, RAM, optical drives, sound cards, and hard drives.
