WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE MISSED:

* Washington Gov. Chris Gregoire (D) announced today that she will not seek a third term. The news comes a week after state Attorney General Rob McKenna jumped into the race on the GOP side. Potential Democratic candidates include Rep. Jay Inslee (widely expected) and state Treasurer James McIntire (possible).

* New Jersey state Sen. Joseph Kyrillos (R) has opened an exploratory committee for a challenge to Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.). Kyrillos is a former state Republican party charman.

* House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R) says he has been impressed with Vice President Biden?s stewardship of the debt ceiling negotiations.

* Documentarian and diehard Sarah Palin supporter John Ziegler says Palin is unelectable.

* Three New York state Senate Democrats who have voted against same-sex marriage in the past are now supporting a bill being spear-headed by Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D). Cuomo now needs three of five undecided Republicans to pass the bill through the chamber.

* Florida Agriculture Commissioner and former congressman Adam Putnam (R) has endorsed state Senate President Mike Haridopolos in the state?s crowded GOP Senate primary.

WHAT YOU SHOULDN?T MISS:

* Daily Show host Jon Stewart will appear on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace this coming weekend.

* Former White House press secretary Robert Gibbs will be making the rounds during tonight?s debate to defend President Obama and define the GOP field.

* Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) has added another former aide to Mike Huckabee to her presidential team. After signing up Ed Rollins, Bachmann is now enlisting Alice Stewart as her national press secretary.

* Don?t forget to check out The Washington Post?s debate previews for Bachmann, Tim Pawlenty, Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney.

* For all you trivia fans out there: Politics and Pints will be held NEXT Monday ? a week later than normal ? due to tonight?s big debate in New Hampshire.
